Application Process

Swan Hill International College takes rolling enrolments, which allows international students to enrol at any time of the year. You need to allow about six weeks for your application to be assessed by the College and also for immigration authorities to approve your student visa application.

The enrolment process is completed by following the steps outlined below:

  1. Student enquiries directed to course information.
  2.  Select the course of study and complete an Application Form with supporting documentation.
  3. Letter of offer is issued. Student asked for more information or given an Agreement and Contract Form.
  4. Sign the Agreement and Contract Form to declare that you understand all of the information provided.
  5. Fees as outlined in letter of offer need to be paid.
  6. CoE is issued.
  7. Student visa application is confirmed through VEVO.
  8. Orientation letter is issued for confirmation of arrival.
  9. Student inducted into the College through the Orientation program.

Please Note: The information collected on the Application Form is used for administrative and statistical purposes and will remain confidential. Upon commencing in a program, the Student Support Officer will provide you with detailed information about the course you are undertaking and your rights and responsibilities as a valued student.

 

   

Enrolment Process

To apply for a position at Swan Hill International College , you should:

Determine your DIAC Country Assessment Level by consulting the Country Assessment Level table or by visiting http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/assessment-levels.pdf

If you come from an Assessment Level 4 country you must apply for a Certificate IV or Diploma.

Attach certified copies of your English language proficiency documents and academic transcripts.

Attach one passport photograph to the application form. Click Here

Attach copies of the two front pages of your passport and current student visa (if applicable)

Include A$6400 (A$5000 first semester fee,A $1250 material fee, A$150 application fee) by bank draft, or other approved method of payment, made payable to Swan Training Association Inc .

An offer of a place for a course at Swan Hill International College will be issued to you if your application is successful.

Payments:

The Payment of the A$6400 can be made in several ways to secure your eCOE.

Direct Credit can be made directly into our bank account and then fax or email us the details of the transfer.

Bank Draft or Money Order payable to Swan Training Association Inc. in Australian dollars and to an Australian Bank. Swan Hill International College does not accept personal checks from first time students unless this has been previously approved by the CEO.

Telegraphic Transfer of funds from your bank to our bank can be made and then details of the transaction faxed through to our office. The same details for the Direct Credit of funds can be used.

Cash or Credit Card payments can be made in person at our offices at 148-150 Campbell St. , Swan Hill 3585.

Entry Requirements for Overseas Students

English Language Requirements

All Vocational Education courses have an English language requirement. This requirement is met by achieving an IELTS testing score of 5.5, or TOEFL score of 550. Students who do not have a current IELTS or equivalent test result are advised to have their English level tested prior to applying for their chosen vocational course.

Certificate III and Certificate IV applicants will have a Senior High school (Year 11 in Australia or equivalent in their country of origin.)

Diploma applicants will have Senior High School (Year 12 in Australia or equivalent in their country of origin).

Level 1or 2 Countries

If you come from a country which has an assessment level of 1 or 2 and wish to accept an offer of a place, you should:

Send a bank draft or other approved method of transferring funds in Australian dollars, made payable to Swan Training Association Inc. for your remaining first semester tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover. If you have organised, through an Agent, your own OSHC, this payment will not be necessary. This information will be included in the Letter of Offer .

Once the College has received the funds and the signed Acceptance Agreement, an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) certificate will be sent to you via email, fax or through your Agent if you used their services.

You should take the eCOE Certificate and offer letter to the nearest Australian mission or consulate (or DIAC office if applying in Australia )

The Australian Consulate will advise you on the requirements for a medical examination and the time needed to prepare the visa.

Level 3 or 4 Countries

If you come from a country which has an assessment level of 3 or 4 and wish to accept an offer of a place, you should:

Send a bank draft or other approved method of transferring funds in Australian dollars, made payable to Swan Training Association Inc. for your remaining first semester tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover. If you have organised, through an Agent, your own OSHC, this payment this will not be necessary. This information will be included in the Letter of Offer .

Processing Times

The CEO of Swan Hill International College or his representative will process your application within 7 days. Delays can be caused by incomplete documents and applicants are encouraged to make a photocopy of all documents before posting.

The processing of student visas by DIAC varies between countries, so ask at the Australian Mission or Consulate the expected timeline.
