Swan Training Association Inc. provides training and assessment for over thirty accredited programs, in Victoria and New South Wales.

Swan Hill International College is the trading name of Swan Training Association Inc. and is a first in rural Australia . The College provides accredited training for both international and local students, as well as, other groups in the community. This training, especially in Hospitality and Horticulture meets a critical local skill shortage.

Swan Training Association Inc. is a community based not-for-profit organisation. Swan Training Association Inc. leases Carriages Restaurant, an iconic Swan Hill landmark. This 200 seat restaurant and conference centre serves as a hospitality training centre, as well as, providing additional classrooms for our students.

Governance

Our Board of Directors, is made up of prominent local business people and community leaders who guide the future direction of Swan Hill International College.

The day-to-day operations of Swan Training Association Inc. is directed by the CEO, Mr Scott Bryden who is also CEO of Swan Hill International College.

Role of the Board

Among the key responsibilities ofthe Board are:

• Working closely with the CEO on long term strategies to improve the quality of training and business development.

• Close monitoring of organisational performance, reporting and corporate governance, including audit, risk and compliance with laws, policies and procedures.

We have a strong governance commitment aimed at achieving best practice and being ethical and principled in dealings with our clients. As a not-for-profit community organization, a significant factor in our decision making is influenced by these questions:

• Will our decision contribute to and improve our community?

• Will it benefit all concerned?

If the answer is "No" then our decision needs to be reconsidered.
